What payment methods do you offer?
Payment for competitions can be made with a credit / debit card through the secure server provided by Stripe, a world leading online payment gateway. Alternatively you can use your PayPal account (fees for using PayPal are slightly higher due to the additional costs they charge)
We do not give the option to pay cash through the website. Paying via one of the above methods is more secure and guarantees payment to the competition organisers.
How will I know if my entry has been successful?
You will receive a confirmation Email once you have placed your order. After we have checked your order you will then receive your unique entry ticket with a code on it. If you haven’t received your confirmation email within 24 hours please email us at email@example.com
Can I enter more than one competition in the same transaction?
Yes, you can enter as many competitions as you like in one go. For each competition entry confirmed, you will receive a separate, unique entry ticket.
Why is there an administration fee?
The administration fee is less than the price of a stamp and envelope which has been the traditional way of entering bowls competitions. We charge a nominal fee to cover the costs associated with running this website.
I’ve entered a competition through bowlscomps.com but accidently put the wrong date. Can you change this?
Yes. If the alternative date and/or time is available we can change this for you as long as it is prior to two weeks before the first qualifying day.
For full details of our refund policy, please click here. In brief, a full refund will be given if a request has been received within 14 days of the entry being confirmed. No refunds will be given after this date or within 14 days of the first qualifying event of the competition.
I’ve entered a competition but not received my confirmation email?
When you enter a competition and make payment, you should get a confirmation Email to say your order is being processed very soon afterwards. If you haven’t received your confirmation email within 24 hours please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
I’ve entered a competition but not received my entrance ticket?
When you enter a competition, you get a confirmation Email to say we have received your entry. This is then checked against all entries to ensure duplication has not occurred and that the time / date are available. Sometimes competition entries come in very quickly and we have to ensure a ‘first come, first served’ policy is adhered to. When everything has been checked you will receive a further Email with your entry ticket. If your entry ticket has not been received within 5 working days please contact us via email email@example.com
Can I transfer my entry ticket to somebody else?
Yes, as long as it is prior to two weeks before the first qualifying date. Send us an Email at firstname.lastname@example.org telling us the name of the person taking the place and we will advise the competition organiser of the change.
Can I trust BowlsComps with my entrance fee?
BowlsComps is a limited company, registered with Companies House and run by bowlers from the West Midlands with years of experience. Your payment is sent through a secure, trusted method and transferred to the competition organiser by BowlsComps.com.
We created this site to help bowlers and organisers enter and receive entrance fees in a more secure environment. The admin fees received go towards paying for the maintenance of the website with all other monies going direct to the organisers.
I have found the competition I want to enter but cannot do this through BowlsComps.com?
As a new website we may initially only have a small percentage of competitions available but we hope this will increase as players and organisers realise the benefits of the site. All new comps we are involved with will be added to our website immediately. If you know of comps that could benefit from BowlsComps.com then please get in touch.
